Haferboy® – Since 1972 the oat crusher for horse owners
In 1972, as founding member of Equitana, we introduced the first oat crusher for horse owners. Since then, oat crushers made by Sommer have enjoyed an increasing degree of popularity under the Haferboy® brand throughout the world of equestrian sports and horse breeding as well as in the many various fields in which horses are deployed as work animals and livestock as well as for leisure purposes.
The benefits of crushed oat lie in the opening up of the nutrients contained in the oat grain for optimum absorption by the horse as well as in the significantly increased ration yield. Feeding freshly crushed oats also ensures that no contamination takes place as a result of the prolonged storage of the feed and that the highest possible amount of nutrients are retained in the feed.
Horse owners wishing to incorporate freshly crushed oats as a permanent element in their horse feed program can opt for a Haferboy® to ensure an outstanding crushing result. Reliability and efficiency as well as an exceptionally long service life are characteristic of this machine. Compact design, high-quality workmanship and easy usability leave no wishes unfulfilled.
The Haferboy® product line has been constantly further developed and can be supplemented with equipment for dedusting, bagging and oil mixture. The program is rounded off with grain silos that can be designed as upright silos as well as flat-bottom silos.
